For mums, it allows you to get familiar with the anatomy of your breasts and helps you confidently hand express after the baby is here, should you need to and also be confident in your ability to produce and feed your baby. It's a great skill to know if you need to relieve any engorgement once your milk transitions post-birth. For babies, it reduces their likelihood of receiving formula should they need any top ups or have difficulties in feeding, especially if they are born prematurely, are going to be in NICU, mum has gestational diabetes or has a caesarean.

I took the colostrum harvesting course from Fakeha and it has been nothing short than empowering. The course is extremely useful and gives you basic knowledge which we generally are unaware of. The first time I collected colostrum Fakeha was there to guide me and Alhumdulilah the whole process was super smooth. Especially as a GD Mom I think it gives you an edge with harvested colostrum and puts your mind at ease. I’d definitely recommend this course along with the breastfeeding course. One of the most valuable part of the course was learning about colostrum harvesting and using a breast pump. Being able to collect and store colostrum after 36 weeks gave me peace of mind. I felt reassured knowing that, in case of any unforeseen circumstances, I would still be able to provide my own milk to my baby. Fakheha was incredibly supportive and always addressed my concerns. I wasn't sure on harvesting colostrum during pregnancy, it seemed a little intimidating but i'm so glad I did. I could not latch on my baby right after birth because of c-section but my baby was still fed my milk alhamdulillah. In the next few days, these syringes helped cure his jaundice so quickly. Highly recommended doing this under Fakeha's guidance!!

I’ writing this review on the antenatal colostrum harvesting that was mind blowing and included in your antenatal course. So coming to know about this was a life changing thing for me. After 36 weeks the way you taught us how to manually collect colostrum was really a blessing in disguise. Alhumdulillah for that. With your support i was able to collect colostrum for my baby and was mentally relaxed that i have stored it for a better time. With the correct knowledge on how to harvest it, the correct method, the appropriate half life of the milk and everything related to it was extremely important. I think this was one of the reasons that I didn’t face any engorgement and mastitis issues during my breastfeeding journey uptil now Alhumdulillah because I think you did an excellent job in making us learn the right technique.
