Salaam! I'm Fakeha Asghar — a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS ®), infant feeding consultant, and the founder of Labour of Love Lactation, based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

But before any of that, I'm a mother. And like so many of the women who come to me, my own breastfeeding journey wasn't straightforward. That experience — of searching for answers, needing support, and finding too little of it — is exactly what drove me to build the resource I wish I'd had.

Why Mothers in Pakistan Trust Labour of Love Lactation

There is a significant gap in accessible, evidence-based lactation support in Pakistan. Most mothers are either left to navigate breastfeeding alone, or surrounded by well-meaning but conflicting advice. Too many give up on a journey they truly wanted — not because breastfeeding wasn't possible for them, but because they didn't have the right support at the right time.

Since founding this practice, I have supported hundreds of mothers across Pakistan and globally — through in-person consultations, online sessions, workshops, and my signature prenatal course, From Bump to Breast. My approach is always the same: evidence-based, non-judgmental, and deeply personal. I meet every mother where she is.
